Your international risk management
Sentinel is an ESSD (a Security and Defense Company) with a broad international focus, based in France and founded in 2004. The shareholders and directors are French.
Sentinel accompanies businesses in their international growth, most particularly in so-called derelict areas, ensuring the secure environment they need in which to operate. It gives advice and provides expertise on the problems of risk management. These risks may be of many different types and affect staff and company interests across the world. Sentinel also undertakes the individual protection of key people.
Either on an ad hoc or permanent basis, in sensitive and/or high-risk regions, Sentinel’s multi-disciplinary teams analyze the risks, design plans to deal with any threats, and ensure safe travel. It is supported by resources adapted to international standards and exercises rigorous control and implementation.
Active for almost 20 years,
Sentinel is a partner valued for its ability to advise, assist, and supply made-to-measure services, prioritizing client involvement and the development of the client’s operations in the local environment.

The CEFSI. Co-founded by leaders of French ESSDs (Security and Defense companies), the CEFSI (Club for French Companies involved in International Security) was born from the desire of its members to provide the profession with a structure and protect the interests of French companies. The aim of CEFSI’s member companies is to strengthen the abilities of French SMEs and large groups to operate internationally in regions that present difficulties but have a high potential.
Sentinel is a founder member of the CEFSI.
The CNAPS. The CNAPS (the National Council for Private Security Operations) was born of a common desire of the government and the profession to provide the sector with an ethical and professional basis. As an administrative public institution under the aegis of the Ministry of the Interior and created under the law of 14th March 2011 known as LOPPSI 2, the CNAPS has authority over all French territory; with seven geographical departments in metropolitan France and four in its overseas territories.
The National Guard. Sentinel has signed a support convention with the National Guard to provide its agents with a greater commitment to serving in the reserve forces (ESR) and to promote cooperation between National Defense and the private security sector. In this respect, under a ministerial ruling of 3rd December 2019, Sentinel was given the status of “partner of National Defense” as laid out in the final paragraph of Article L.4211-1-IV of the Defence Code.
Premier Limousine. Sentinel’s partnership with the company Premier Limousine enables it to provide security chauffeurs, trained to combat aggression.
